As Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe rightly said \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barcelona, such a beautiful horizon!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FqhpUfkfODI?rel=0\" width=\"280\" height=\"157\" frameborder=\"0\" align=\"centre\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A must visit is Sagrada Familia, Gaudi church still under construction an expiatory temple, a must see with each side entrance explaining Jesus\u2019 life, each tower represents an evangelist, another one being Maria and the large in the centre Jesus. If you are about at lunch time why not visit &#8220;100% organic&#8221; on &#8220;avinguda gaudi\u201d, you can find it at north of the church is easily recognisable for two oak barrels right outside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then take a classic walk from &#8220;Pla\u00e7a Catalunya&#8221; (Catalonia square), through the &#8220;las ramblas&#8221; until the Christopher Columbus statue, where you will reach the port (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plenty of nice restaurants!). I like <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/shoko.biz\/restaurante\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shoko<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (right next to the sea) cool for dinners asian fusion and turns into a club.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being by the seaside you are close to Barceloneta,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> highly recommended by a Celiac friend <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/sweetceliac.com\/informal\/#more-2213\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">http:\/\/sweetceliac.com\/informal\/#more-2213<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (that&#8217;s her Celiac friendly foodie blog if you need more).\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And if you want typical paella<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> any restaurant underneath (sea front) the &#8216;Museo Maritimo&#8217; will be good. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2536 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamole.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/images.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"261\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dreamole.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/images.jpg 261w, https:\/\/dreamole.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/images-212x157.jpg 212w, https:\/\/dreamole.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/images-254x188.jpg 254w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 261px) 100vw, 261px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boqueria market in &#8220;las ramblas&#8221; is one of the best markets in the world, at the ba<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ck there are a couple restaurants but any at the market will be nice. Not too far there is also En Ville, a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> traditional restaurant in a &#8217;emblematic&#8217; building <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.envillebarcelona.es\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">http<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.envillebarcelona.es\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\/\/www.envillebarcelona.es\/en\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oh, if you are around north rambla catalunya there is the &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/Cervecer%C3%ADa-Catalana-539478542770052\/photos\/?ref=page_internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cerveceria catalana<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; on the corner of Mallorca street, there is a great place<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to eat, big queues normal but delicious! They wanted to create an exclusive estate but somehow the project never came to completion and now it is a great sculptured garden to visit. A bit far from the rest but worth going to if you have time. It\u2019s a great way to see the city for a short visit with so much to do, connections are quite frequent and very easy to follow. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check out this website to see <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if there is s<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">omething special on the days you&#8217;ll be there: <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.barcelonaturisme.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">http:\/\/www.barcelonaturisme.com\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then my favourite museum is MACBA contemporary art, love it, between las ramblas raval and Pelayo street.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If G&#038;T is your thing, there is a gin tonic place with more than 20 different types called Ubeda, 339 Corcega street (top of Pau Claris\/Passeig de gracia) <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubedagintapas.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">http:\/\/www.ubedagintapas.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> they serve mini dishes in tiny pans, which are delicious too!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another great find is<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loscaracoles.es\/index.php?lang=en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los Caracoles<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">although a bit <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">expensivo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a very traditional restaurant since the 1800 or there abouts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want some cock<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tails and perhaps a lamb dinner and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a lovely view go to the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asadordearanda.net\/es\/content\/asador-de-aranda-barcelona-av-tibidabo\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asador de Aranda<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Avda Tibidabo, it is up a hill b<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ut worth the walk. Then<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stroll over to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mirablaubcn.com\/en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mirablau&#8217;<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for a cocktail later! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you can see food is a passion! :<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) Hope you will find this useful and have fabulous time in my hometown!
